Lissy specializes in anxiety and depression management, emotion regulation, stress reduction, and improving self-esteem. About Lissy

Throughout her work in hospitals, community mental health and educational settings, Lissy has dedicated her career to advocating for children and families. She spent nine years working as a school social worker, offering students from preschool through high school therapeutic services while providing their teachers, administrators and caregivers the tools and resources to better support their diverse needs.

In the therapy room, Lissy creates a supportive and inviting space where parents and children alike can explore and process their feelings. Incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities, including attachment theory, CBT, mindfulness, art and play therapy, children feel safe and encouraged to express themselves in different ways. She follows the client’s lead and develops a treatment plan based on an individual’s needs and preferences. She closely collaborates with caregivers to ensure the family is able to best support the child outside of the therapy office and always strives to improve the greater family harmony and sense of connection.

Lissy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker registered in California and Georgia. She received her master's degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Tulane University. She is trained in the CBITS program to provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to children impacted by trauma and has earned the Pupil Personnel Services Credential to provide school-specific social work. She is experienced in play and art therapy.

In her spare time, Lissy enjoys practicing yoga, spending time outside, cooking for herself and others and socializing with family and friends. Both personally and professionally, she believes in “community care” alongside self-care, which looks like helping clients build and strengthen the support systems in their lives. Lissy is committed to reducing inequity and promoting social justice practices that allow all people and families to thrive.
